Santosha Series no. 1

I didn't begin painting to create a collection. I painted because I was searching for something quieter. Over time it became a practice of finding contentment in what is, rather than what could be. I found it in the water, light, weather, and the movement of pigment across paper. The Sanskrit word for this is Santosha. These paintings are reflections of that practice. Small reminders that enough can exist right here, exactly as we are.
