Soul
Inspiration often begins with the senses. Light, temperature, texture, a breath of something present and remembered.
Beyond that I am drawn to something more difficult to name. A sense of awe, connection, and presence in the world around us.

Inspiration and References
I am Jennifer Slipec, a Kelowna-based artist working primarily in watercolour - though I enjoy mixed media and oil as well.
I grew up on the Manitoba prairies and currently live in the Okanagan, BC.
Both landscapes continue to shape how I see light, atmosphere and place.
While I work from my own observations whenever possible, I am grateful to the photographers and artists who generously share reference material with the creative community.
